Quick question: I'm removing the carbs from the engine and I've disconnected throttle lines, choke cable etc. I have everything disconnected, insulator bands are loose but it just seems pretty near impossible to pull it off. Anyone have any suggestions on how to pull the carbs off with ease?

unless you're a pro wrestler, "pulling" the carbs off their mounts is unlikely.

you're right, them bitches stick tight so u need leverage between carb top and cylinder head, careful not to scratch but using 2x4 board or hammer handle, working gradually left to right, front to back. get either front or rear pair loose first then the other side...good luck.

BTW it's even harder to get them back on....have fun!

Thanks for the advice.. Used a similar technique however, I used a 12 inch pry bar and wrapped a rag around the prying end.. popped right off with ease.. Thanks again

Once you get the carbs removed and want to remount them, just use a little petrolatum jelly AKA Vaseline on the cabr boots after you heat them up a little bit with t hair dryer to make them more pliable. Once they are warm and lubed it's just a matter of working them on. I started on the frnt carbs and finished with the rear carbs. For me putting them on was easier than getting them off.
