    Hi Folks,

Need some advice WRT setting the float level for my '84 VF700 carbs. I have a Motion Pro level gauge to make things a bit easier/more accurate (I hope).

Here's my issue. I'm supposed to set the float level to 7mm when the needle is just seated. But my needle has this itty bitty plunger that continues to push in after the needle itself seats. So, is the 7mm set with the needle seated but its plunger not depressed, or with the needle seated and the plunger depressed?

    Any info appreciated,
    Thx,
    Anders

the 7mm is when float tang JUST CONTACTS lightly, not depresses the plunger.

Well, yeah, that would've been less expensive ... :^) ... but according to other threads on this group, you're apparently 'nuts', so I can't be certain that your homemade tool isn't a figment of your imagination ... ;^)
