trying to pull the carbs off my 86 vfr 700. loosend the bands but still cant pull them. Want to make sure i'm not missing anything before i start pulling too hard.
Loosen clamps on both sides, heat gun softens rubber, work on rears first, useful pry points between carb tops and valve cover. And, DON'T remove alloy bottom of airbox from the carb assembly !!!!!!
I think this is the most important piece of advice. Do not remove it and you can actually use it as leverage for rocking the carbs out.
