Just bought an 03 with the hard side bags. I ordered the tail tidy from competition werkz. After just doing a quick look at the bike though it looks as though the luggage rails screw into the rear mudflap fender that I want gone. Anyone done this? Don't care about how well my plate can be seen. Just want the ugly rear gone.

the only thing w/ above mod is you need to remove the plate to intall the hard bag mount bolts then put the plate back on and it hides the bolts.
