Previous owner hacked my wiring harness trying to fix the bike when it stopped running. He got the bike as a project, and was able to get it running - but it runs like crap. It has maybe 20 horsepower In the red circle are three wires that have been cut. 1 black wire 2 blue/black wire 3 red/blue wire. The blue and black wire are spliced together with a red clip on the right of the circle. The red/blue wire is just cut, now going nowhere. What are these wires and where are they supposed to go? The fuel pump he installed is generic with no part #s, so I have no idea what the pressure spec is or if its correct.
Seems like the red circle should go to the fuel pump relay. They are jumped together to provide constant power to the pump thus eliminating the relay altogether.
As above ^^, relay is unnecessary, and it appears that PO wired around it correctly. If pump doesn't work check fuses.
