Hi All. Need some advice. Oil leaks from the half moon portions of the both front cylinders cam cover. I replaced the gasket which improved the leak. Do I need to use liquid gasket/RTV/etc in addition to the rubber stock gasket? If yes what is best. Thanks. Charlie

You do indeed need to use some gasket sealer on the half moons only. The flat sections don't need any added sealant. All this is in the service manual.

I too have tried this without using the sealant, and you will end up with an annoying weep.

Another thing to check is that you have replaced the valve cover bolt seals.
