cali bike question

does anybody know the list of parts that cali vfr's came with back when they were makin the 2nd gen bikes? i recently learned my bike was originally sold in cali, and im just curious as to what parts (im sure its just emissions junk) make a cali bike a cali bike.

 

look at a factory service manual, on some pages they will have diagrams of the bike, you should see on the some of the diagrams that there will be two that look a like, one will be labelled 49 state, and one will say California version.

you can also go to one of the web pages that allows you lo view basically the microfiche picture that a dealer looks at to order parts, for some of them there will be two options, Cali and 49 state. You can compare the two, printing them out may be an easier way to do this. some of the web pages are bikebandit.com or Ronayers.com although I know there are more than that.

 

It is just emissions, fuel tank and cap to. They did not start to cripple the bikes until gen 3.
