I checked them out, test rode one....really nice machines....but with MV's constant economic problems and what I've read and heard about parts availability....I had to admit it probably wouldn't be a great choice.

Nice bike. Comparing some of the exhaust systems on some of the recent bikes like the 1200VFRs and even going back to some of the "fishtail" mufflers, those were designed IMO to look like open headers something that will get you busted in a hurry anymore.

I have ridden two MVs in my time. I rode an MV "America" at the Isle of Vashon TT years ago and more recently one owned by a BMW shop owner in Seattle. Being 6'1" and 200lbs the America was fine but the newer bike felt small.

At the time of the ride on the "America" MV Agusta held the franchise for Bell Helicopters.

MV has been in the bike biz for years as I understand it because Count Agusta liked bikes so much so that they were Moto-GP champions for several years with Agostini aboard. Some early examples in both engine types and many displacements are on the WWW.
