I have consulted two mechanics on this one. I want to adjust the brake and clutch levers on my 1998 VFR800FI so that the levers are actually comfortably positioned down for aggressive street riding and trail braking {stock orientation is say 3-4pm on the clock versus 5-6pm}. It appears that owing in part to the master cylinders, cables and bar geometry, that you cannot actually get your levers down where they could be covered comfortably. Has anyone addressed this issue? I was hoping to get my levers down and closer. The stock orientation is really not useful for aggressive street riding and the occasional track outing. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
