Braided s/s brake lines

    I have my new tires, Two Bros. slip-on( awsome sounding) exhaust, stock foot rests a member sold me, so, now.. where is good resource to support for upgraded brake lines on Gen 5 ? I'll do breake lines and pads then look at suspension. Appreciate any imput!

    I went to local hydraulic line shop. Tubes N Hoses or some shit like that.

    Prices were cheaper than anything I could order. On the front end, there are some T blocks that must be re-used. So one option is to get a pile of used lines off ebay for next to free, then hand them over to the local guy and have him build them up. Once they're done, just remove one for one and replace as you go.

    mine are from galfer. they used my bike to may a pdf of how-to install their lines on a 5th gen bike due to the linked brakes being a pia.

    moto-heaven is the u.s. distributor for HEL lines....call them and ask for Phil...imo, HEL brake lines are some of the finest out there. (wait for it, wait for it....)

    I have Galfer on my '99. I got an excellent deal on the kit and am very happy with the lines, not that there was really anything wrong with the stock ones. Sometimes you just gotta add some stuff. :)

    What about removing all the linked stuff and going with two straight lines on the front and one on the back?? Nobody seems to be removing the linking, but I don't like the way it makes the back brake feel.

    My local shop won't touch brake hoses for fear of failure and litigation. I ordered a s/s set for my old FT500 Ascot by sending a Canadian company (found on ebay) a detailed dimension drawing of length, connector angles and twist. They fit like a glove and were under $20 each.
