    Hey, Guys,
Well, after a couple of weeks of kicking the tires, I broke down and bought a 2000 VFR 800. She has 25,200 miles and a Sargeant seat. Otherwise, she is stock. I got her for $2,675 plus about $178 in tax. She is that sexy as hell yellow. I have included a pic.

Now, the guy I am buying it from has a 954 shock he is willing to flat give me. My question is, does the 954 shock match the 929 shock and is it worth the swap? Now, exhaust, any ideas? How hard it is to find a 5th gen can? Any options for an under-seat can that will NOT roast my ass?

Lastly, forks? I sure could use some guidance on the forks. Rebuild? If so, who and how much?

Thanks on advance for the time and answers.

    Dale

Welcome! As far as your suspension options, many guys go to Racetech or Daugherty Motorsports. I was able to get my 6 Gen done by Jamie Daugherty for less than $600 (YMMV) and I am very happy with the outcome. Jamie is a member here and you can send him a PM or email and he'll get get back to you. I'm sure he'll have the answer to your shock question too.

    Cheers
