Well, as some of you might know, I recently purchased a Technic Jacket from newenough.com. It was this one: Teknic Freestyle Textile Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD Anyways, I will never buy online again. After I purchased the jacket, I test rode it. It stunk. It didn't fit me well, and I couldn't turn my head very far left and right because the giant should pads didn't fit right on my broad, flat shoulders. So, I go to Troy, Ohio – Honda, ATVs, Motorcycles, Scooters, Watercraft, Power Equipment, Generators, Lawn Mowers, Pumps, Snowblowers and visit them in person. I had them install some fresh brake pads that I already had, for 1/2 an hour of labor. I sat there chatting with the Parts guy while service had my bike. I mention how much I dis-like my current jacket. He shows me some closeout jackets that he thought I would like. He explained all the features, and I picked up a Joe Rocket Alter Ego Textile/Mesh Jacket. Joe Rocket Alter Ego 2.0 Textile/Mesh Motorcycle Jacket :: New Enough, LTD The store I bought it from is about an hour drive away from me. So I rode home with the jacket on. Its about 50 outside today, and with a t-shirt on and just the jacket, I was warm enough, surprisingly. I enjoy all the details of the jacket, except the silly pull string at the bottom that is suppossed to keep the waist tight. It's chinese made, and some of the stiching isn't perfect, but I don't care. Its not visible from more than foot away. I really prefer this jacket, it isn't very flashy, but it does the job. I also got the CE-rated spine protection. It fits me very comfotably. At the same time, I also picked up a new visor for my helmet.
sorry to hear that It sucks that you can not try before you buy especially on a jacket that you wear everytime you ride.. I have an alpinstar and love it but the shoulder pads in it sometimes helmet hits it also other then that glad i have it best one ever just my worthless opion..
