Anyone out there had any experience in getting new soles put on their riding boots. I have a pair of Joe Rocket that fit like a glove but the left is wearing thin. I don't drag....honestly. They have 51,000 KM on them with a lot of stop start freeway crap to boot. No pun intended.

My dealership say they do not re-sole well but then they have a vested interest in me buying new ones. Or should I be looking at new ones anyways. 2 years old.

I would take them to a trusted shoe repair guy and see what he thinks. I have saved lots of money taking stuff to him for a 5 dollar repair instead of new 120 dollar mtn biking shoes!

dersutka's right! I'd check with a reputable repair shop before I decided to buy new. Looking at my riding boots, it looks like they would be very easy to re-sole. I may be wrong, but barring a major accident I think that you'd probably be able to use a pair of riding boots for a pretty long time as long as in your case the soles were still good. Now if the shoe repair guy says different that's a whole different story.

    Thanks Guys,

You have answered it for me. I took a pair of shoes in just now and the shoe repair turned me way saying they were not worth it. So I know their loyalties. Guess I will take the boots in while I am vacationing in my Flag Ship truck.
