I am sure this has been asked, but I can't get the search to cooperate with me.

Are VF500/Vf750/VF1000F body parts interchangeable? Specifically in this case the rear tail cowling.

I think ppl want want the bikes to remain original, so they dont answer. I have asked this question 3-4 times with no responce. I'd like to put a 86 front fairing from a 1000 on my 85 700, but still no idea if it would fit. :(

I believe the frames on each are considerably different and I know specifically that the tail sections and front fairings are WAY different between each of the 500, 750 and 1000 even if they are all the F series. I beleive you are all talking 84-86. You should be able to swap out between the same cc size bike of differnt years other than the 1000 which th 85 and 86 are drastically different than an 84. If I am remembering all this correctly

Thanks. Reason is the rear fairing on my 84 1000f is cracked. Therefore I can only use the rear fairing from another 84' 1000?
