So, it's my Birthday Saturday (26th). Some friends took us out for dinner last night as my wife is also out of school this week. My wife and I don't usually go out to pizza because ours is so much better, but we will when it's somebody else's thing. Anyway, the Pizza was amazing. Little place in our town that has changed hands a couple times, but the original owner installed a real Italian Pizza Oven. The current owner has finally put all the pieces together.

OK... back on topic. A few years back my buddy was rearranging his shops and was a bit overloaded. I had also just rearranged some things and had a couple spots on the suspended bike shelves in my shop. I offered to take a couple nice ones that were at risk of getting scratched in his quagmire and display them for a bit.

Last night at dinner I opened an envelope with two gifted titles...

The Cub will likely stay up, but the C102 will get a going thru for some rides.

Oh... and I have to take two parts bikes. Not thrilled about that as I'm fairly stuffed, but I'll manage I think.

Well.... the other part of the deal happened last night. Had to take the parts bikes. He got them down off of his high shop shelf and informed me I'm picking them up.

    Ugh. More bikes.

The wife was just getting out of her car when I pulled up.

"Great, more bikes. WTF are those?"

I reminded her. ;-) Into the 3rd garage they go for now.

I am old, I have a lot of Motorcycle friends but I don't think I will be getting any of their squirreled away bikes for my Birthday.
You sir don't have a friend, you have a great friend
I like the idea that your friend knew your place was the best place to save these two old Honda dream bikes instead of someone far away or would not take care of them like you will
You got me think that there are a few front fenders like that one on the C102 in my nos stock, if I remember right they are blue not red, must have a look sometime
    Happy Birthday Capt.

What a fabulous gift! The C102 was the first bike my dad finally got the kids (me) for camping. Dad got tired of me wrecking the other campers mini bikes! I use to love taking the plastic and covers off and also it was my first experience with a real motorcycle carburetor! lmao! What an awesome gift.

Looking at the condition of those two, I'd be questioning his motives.
