trip report: staying positive..., at least it wasn't hot and sticky! reality: cool and rain most of wknd. ran into some scooter trash on the way down that was "hogging" the left lane and lost their f-in minds when we safely cut into the front of their group to get around. of course they singled out the 'sport bike' to vent their dislike of our maneuver and almost came to blows at 80+ mph! i decided to put the v-tech to use and had to move well into the triple digits to put some distance between me and them! they really hate when they can't keep up! they were not flying any colors of any sort but they sure were a bunch of a-holes. first ride with the new (for me) corbin gunfighter saddle: like it more than stock, not sure how many miles it added but can easily do a full tank, no stops and only a couple standing leg stretches. the "bikefest/rally" was geared mostly towards HD's/cruisers but there were about a hundred plus sport bikes there and some vendors had items that were for motorcyclists in general. i bought a rain suit for the wife. most of the stunt and high wire show was not able to be performed due to the rain and wind. some pretty cool bikes but feel the rain kept most in the trailers or under cover. overall; not sure i would bother to make a special trip to this event again without having a sportbike specific portion to go to.
saw one 6th gen, rwb; and one 5th gen all red w/aftermarket pipe parked at 'Seacrets'.
