Any one have or heard of this problem. I have rode the bike like 3 days since I got it Sunday. And on each occasion when slowing down to stop it shuts off. Not all the time, but on occasion. Runs flawless on the highway. It starts right back up after this happens, but it is a little nerve rattling to have this happen all the time. Anybody.?

What is the idle speed set to? Maybe it is a little low. The idle screw is accessed through the small hole in the right side frame spar, could have a rubber bung in the hole. Screw it in to make it higher. The idle should be set to 1300 rpm when the engine is warm.

If that doesn't help then I'd look at getting the starter valves synchronised. You'll need access to some vacuum gauges for this but it only takes a few minutes to do.

Given the bike runs flawlessly on the highway I would assume the fuel pump, injectors and air filter are OK.

If your bike has a manual fast idle lever on the left bar then you don't have a wax unit. Later bikes use a wax unit to open the starter valves when cold, similar but in reverse to the way a thermostat operates. The wax or fast idle system should not affect running when the engine is warmed up.
