So, my forks are shot. I mean scary to ride shot. I have to rip the bike apart this weekend & I will be taking the forks to EPM Performance in Manalapan, NJ for a complete rebuild. New progressive springs for my weight, new valves, new shims, new seals, any weight oil that I want, etc. Klaus from EPM says my forks will be a 1000% improvement from stock when he's done with them. Considering the fact that the suspension is the true week link of the VFR, this makes me happy. While I'm at it, I going to spring for a custom built HyperPro 460 rear shock. It's adjustable for compression, rebound & preload. I see no need to up the ante an extra $315 to get remote resevoir as anything will be an improvement from the pos Honda put on the bike. Hopefully, this will put the pep back in the step of my beloved 5th Gen. Pics to follow when I get everything in place. My neighbor has 4 bikes & lets me ride them whenever I want, so I will still be able to ride during the 7-10 day turn around time.

I'm also replacing the RR with one from www.wiremybike.com since I already have it.

have you done steel lines yet?

Maybe move that RR up front away from the heat of the subframe?

The fork upgrade I did on my '86 was magical for handling (Lindemann). Almost as magical as the shock that Jamie built for me. The bike handles crazy well, now. I'm sure you'll enjoy the new suspension.
