I have a 95 VFR 750. It starts right up when cold, I just throw the choke on and it goes. If I kill it when its warm, I can also start it up no problem usually.

The issue is when I've been riding it and let it sit for an hour or so. For instance, every time I take it to the gym, I'll finish my workout in an hour or so, and then it won't start up easily.

This has to be something electrical. When I hit the starter, it just goes click click click click really fast. I'll have to let it go and try it a few more times before it catches and starts up.

This has always been an issue over the past few years I've owned it, but has gotten a little worse this last year. I've had old and new batteries on it and it has been the same way. Could it be my starter or some wiring or something else?

    Thanks

Besides kill switch acting up, starter relay could be going, find and test (replace as there is no good test) but before all else check frame grounds. Make sure batt neg has a good connection to frame.

Once thats out of the way, press and hold the start switch in then tap starter with hammer handle. Dont use the heavy end and use smart firm taping. If the starter starts turning then starter motor brushes. While your in there clean the end cap with brake clean (dont use contact cleaner or degreaser) then wet your pinky in 10w oil (clean and nondetergent) and oil the end bearing thoroughly.

My bet is bad frame or brushes as both dont like heat changes.
