What's the easiest way to determine if a 6th gen is a California bike?

NVM after further research I think I've discovered that all the 6th gens were built to cali emissions.

Yep, all of them is correct. There are ways around it and your bike will run better, but it's going to set you back roughly $1500.

    Delkevic (or motad) downpipes for a '98 or '99 5 gen...$250
    A good mid-pipe and chimney...$700-$800
    Eliminate the pair valve...$10
02 eliminators to minimize the ECU's affects and maximize power commanders affects...$40
PCIII with a custom Dyno to tie it all togather...$600

You could probably go even further than that, but something tells me you know this Wray.

Oh that's what you were referring to -- I thought you meant something about removing the emissions stuff to make a "49 state version" which would be $1500... I figured evap can and PAIR valves... then wasn't sure where the other $1490 was going ;)
