I have been riding the bike a lot back and forth to work and on a few short rides the last month and everything has been OK. yesterday I went to put gas in the bike and it started fine. After I filled up the bike it wouldn't start. It acted like the battery was dead and reset the clock and trip counters. I had a friend come by and but jumper cables on the bike and it started right up but if I gave it some gas it would die. It did that twice. I let it sit for a minute and started it again and let it idle and it was fine. I restarted the bike three times and didn't have any problems. Looking at the battery connections they looked fine. There is a fuse connected to a red power cable and for some reason it had corrosion on it like it was hit with battery acid. Since the battery is sealed this doesn't make sense to me. I replaced the fuse with a new one and I rode the bike to work this morning and it seems fine. Guess I will find out at lunch. I was just wondering if anybody has had this happen and if there are any ideas how a fuse gets corrosion on it.
