The toy run that we're going on today got me to thinking. I'd like to do something like this on a smaller scale. I was thinking if we planned it like a month or so out, we could get a decent sized group of riders together and make a whole day of it. Do a 150-200 mile loop say putting us back around 3-4:30. We could wind up at anyone's place who has a yard and a grill. I would be happy to host, or go to someone else's place either one. We could all chip in on the food/drink and have a get together we we talk shit about everything and drink a few beers and fill up on BBQ. I don't know about you guys, but that sounds like a good time to me! I could probably even arrange a DD service or couch to crash on for those interested. My wife's dad is retired CHP so she is really good about giving drunks a ride home. When we were dating, I used to just get someone to drop me off at a bar and then call her later. ;) Aren't I the responsible one... hehe Anyway, let me know what you guys think. I'm thinking like maybe in Jan or Feb. I'll put the word out to my non-VFR riding friends also...

We had our toy run this weekend, over 7 thousand bikes were there, we went on thru our town like a 10 mile cruise of sorts stopping only at the end dropping off our gift. what a great thing even if there was a lot Of HDs and the like. We sporting type held our own. And even the weather held up good, only a balmy 36

Now that's a Toy Run! I don't know if I could handle riding in that size of group. I felt a little uneasy for most of our small run when we were clustered. I don't mind with the guys I ride with because I am used to them, but when riding with strangers it makes me nervous.

I tried to get over to see the bikes but couldn't get closer than 1/2 mile of the mall.

BTW Jay, since it appears you got the bike back together, you need to let us know how the f3 fork mod went and how it feels. Actually, I think you are required by VFRWorld law to write up a how-to on that...

Hmmm, Yep F3 swap is working good, but since the weather and road contitions don't favor the kind of riding to really see how they work isn't avalible yet, I'll just keep it my little secret LOL, oh opps! cats out of the box....sorry for the Hi jack.. now back to the BBQ, where's this at?

Well, I didn't want to volunteer you, but I was thinking your place might be better in this season since it doesn't cool off as quick down there. We could get good and tipsy without freezing to death. You prob have enough roon in the garage for a couple extra bikes that couldn't be ridden home right? Anyway, if it works out well, we could try and do something similar every couple months or so. Once it gets warm, maybe some of our northern friends would motor on down here...
