Well after a not to painful 40 mins of wrestling I got the newly rebuilt carbs back on ( I was a bit pissed to see one of the clamps off the inlet on the garage floor mind- narrow jubilee clip saved the day though). All fuel lines hooked up, tank back on, primed with fuel (no leaks- phew) hit the starter and …. nothing the battery was as flat as a pancake. Now on charge ready for the big start up tomorrow fingers crossed

Get that battery goin!! Custom paint? I followed Joe's of V4dreams.com re-install with the aid of a ratchet strap and some moly lube and mine popped back into place in about a minute. I was pretty nervous, but go slow and they just kind of popped in. Super stoked especially since my isolators are hard as a rock. Still waiting on my CMS order.
Look forward to the fire up news!

I used the ratchet strap method but splashed out on new rubbers for £80
Bit of a homage to the RC30 in the paint dept not keen on all white bikes

Yeah, mine is all red and it needs some other colors to bring it down a notch. lol
Getting quality paint done in California is pricey as all get out. Almost more than the bike.....

Not too common here in the US, but Castrol Red Rubber Grease makes these things really easy to assemble. not much is required per application.

Miller makes a good red rubber grease too. Been using it for years. OK to use in brake systems too, which is awesome. Caliper pistons just slide right in and you can preassemble calipers and store them for later without worrying about brake fluid crystallizing.

Pre warm the boots with a heat gun, Rubber grease and silicone spray inside the boots, put the boots on an upward angle not fully seated on the head manifolds and basically facing up, set the carbs onto the boots and push, they should pop into the boots and the boots onto the manifolds. Golden !
