yall are not gonna BELIEVE this one. hell even *I* dont believe it myself. so lets start back with Speed's mention of Dynamo Humm, and the fact that i did come up with a lead from that (tho it ended up not going anywhere). with a little more digging here in the vfrworld forums, i found a thread that led me to TTS Performance parts over in the UK. they seem to have a big bore kit (ok they have TWO kits) on their site for the VFR, but the oldest kit is for the 94-97 bikes (though it does show to be a 12.5:1 compression, 74mm piston, which really does sound right) and the kit costs a whopping £587.50 from TTS. now one thing I also noticed is that the kit is actually made by JE Pistons. ok, new lead! I emailed JE yesterday and explained the situation, and that I'm looking for the s 74mm set of pistons for the older 86-89 bikes. Today, I received the following email:

SUCCESS!! So if anybody else is interested in such a kit from JE, this TJ dude said the job number that I am looking at is 653776.

Ok I am sure this is a stupid question but what would the displacement be for the 700 verses the 750?

if you installed the big bore kit alone into a 700, it would end up roughly 790cc.
