this used to be a good question! back in the sixties and seventies chevron had 106 octane as standard hi-test pump gas. thats why nascar went solely to chevron. union 76 was as good or close second. as volume demands and the ever increasing prices the field is now flat. everyone has the same grades of 87 or 83 or thereabouts and some kind of super additive that does nothing. if you ride to work or cruise the hills stay away from racing fuels and airplane fuel. bikes are designed to run best overall with pump gas at stock timing settings. you want reliability! the track is quite a different matter. ;D
