Well, it seems after ~10 years my battery is dead on my 1998 VFR.
The Battery tender goes green but when I go to start the bike it just clicks a little and no lights. Then the tender shows red again. This is a new tender and I tried my other tender as well so I know it is working as they charge my car fine.

Any recommendations on a new battery?
Should I go with a Yuasa?

    Thx

Buy a DieHard, its a rebadged Yuasa, costs a few bucks less than what you'd pay at the dealer.

Stay away from Everstart Maxx at Walmart!!! Guy I bought my bike from had just put it in and now less than ONE year later its dead and wont charge. I dont have a recipt so they wont exchange it. Sucks because its a $60 battery with a 3 year replacement warranty. I'm sticking with Yuasa from now on!!!!!

I've been very happy with my Shorai Lithium Iron battery, similar price to a new Yuasa, and I don't need to put it on the battery tender all the time.

If you want to see a battery comparison with some insane killer tests check out this link

They really run these batteries though a gauntlet of some over the top tests. The eventual winner is a Motobatt. I picked one up for my 06 VFR and it is rock solid. I stored my bike without charging for 3 months last winter, when I took it out the bike started right up. Put it on a Shumacher charger/analyzer and it still had a 72% charge. I highly recommend it.

Yuasa batteries are the bomb. The one for my 95 RR (sold in early 96) went for 9 years without problems. The last few months of the riding season if I left the lights on it needed a little assistance in getting going.
