    Hello again my fellows.

Im sure you all love hearing about my problems, well I have another one, similar to the first post with my battery problems.
I thought this was caused by the bike overheating as I had a coolant problem.

    Problem:

Bike lost its charge over 12 hours while I was at work.

I push started it and got 25 minutes and it died at some traffic lights (The revs slowly went lower, higher, lower and cut out by itself) - The temperature was about a quater way on the dial so the bike was not 'hot'.

    What is happening?
why is the battery losing charge by itself?
Why is the battery not charging up when I ride?

My connector is still the same (with one of the three yellow wires going to the alternator burnt) - should this be changed asap (maybe single spade connectors?, any other possible casues?)?

Once again thanks for everyones help.

Welcome to VFR non charging world, you have one the prize as the 11 millionth VFR owner to suffer these problems, Do 'The Drill' and report back with your figures, good chance that burnt wire has cooked the stator and rec/reg. When you get it sorted for fucks sake solder and heatshrink those wires, they are the cause of your problems. People all wait till they have this problem and then come here and ask for a fix, much cheaper to come here first and fix the problem before it takes everything else with it

Post him the link to the drill, norm. I cant figure out how to do that on my phone.

He's new, and while us old timers know it all, he has no idea what the drill is.

Plisk, you need to make these people dig a bit deep and start digging around to discover all the millions of posts regarding the charging problems, then they come to understand and have a better insight into why it is important to go through the procedure Mello has spelt out. Post #9 should be made part of the VFR World front page but then people would still not see it
