The battery in my 2003 (original battery) just quit on me. Looking for a part number, item number, etc... something that I can then cross reference online to find a battery. Any suggestions on where to look, or what battery should fit? I suppose I could just take the battery to Sears and get a similar sized, but I'd rather get it online...

    Thanks!

    Hey El,

Send a PM to DenT. I think he just replaced his battery as well (also an '03), and I know he did some research on it as he didn't feel like plunking down $170 on one of them there Yuasas.

Now you know, that battery might not have gone dead if you'd ride some more with us... (couldn't resist).

I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on it ... ideally just the cheapest sealed battery I can find. But the part number will be helpful for cross referencing!

You can get a sealed AGM battery at Wal-Mart for about $56.00, plus a $9.00 core charge (made by Yuasa).

IMAG0411.jpg At my local Walmart in Missouri, there is a hash mark in the battery book next to VFR800. I opened all the boxes, no matches. The battery out of my bandit 1200 works, but is too tall for the cover or strap to go on, the seat barely goes on, but works in a pinch! Now to order one online...
