battery/charging diagnosis help

    What is the correct output of the R/R for a 1996 VFR 750?

    Mine is returning 13.5 v to my new on now fully charged battery.

    But i am still having battery problems.

    It's doing exactly the same thing? It will crank over the first time, but does have enough juice for a second try? Did this happen even right after the fully charged battery was installed? If the bike continues to run for long period after you bump start it with a dead battery the charging system is probably working OK (although I'll admit I have no experince with the R/R). What happens if run the bike for a while, shut it off, and try to start it right back up? If you have the same problem then, I'd suspect the starter.
