Need to replace battery with walmart crap. I travel far and like to charge items on my bike. Can I get some recommendations for batteries please.

Need to change out chain and sprockets as well. Recommendations as well please.

As with most people I am looking for something good but not unbelievable expensive.

    thank you for the help

Batteries plus for the bat or even advanced auto. Sprocket center for chain and sprocket.
    Both will be good.

Both items have the potential for serious consequences if they fail, so personally I would stick with OEM spec stuff. Ring Honda for quotes for the parts and a fitted price for the chain/sprockets, as it can be a real mission to DIY install. Then shop around on the web to see if you can get them a lot cheaper.

I have no idea what the Walmart battery spec is, but over in Europe the stock battery on a vtec would be a Yuasa YTZ12SMF = 11.6 amp hour capacity delivering a 210 cold cranking amps. If anything the battery is a bit over spec for the task but should not let you down - assuming your bike does not have any of the well know charging system faults.

As for sprockets and chain the OEM choice in Europe is a DID chain and sprockets kit such as this -

Undoubtedly there are other makes available on your side of the pond which may be of equal quality but, please be wary of anything very cheap as there have been instances of very shoddy / fake stuff being sold over the web - as you don't want a chain to snap and jam the rear wheel whilst riding on a freeway.

    Hope that helps

Battery, chain and sprockets are not the things you want to cheap out on. They're too important.

I've had good luck with Sears Die Hard batteries. They have different kinds that range in price depending on their guaranteed lifespan.

Chain and sprockets: I just replaced mine with a DID X-ring chain and Superlite sprockets from Sprocket Center. http://sprocketcenter.com/index.php...oice-of-x-ring-chain-honda-vfr-800-02-09.html
