So my 5th Gen has been giving me some aggravation lately. I battled with a random code last year (not sure what it was), but after a reset it went away. Put on plenty of miles with it never coming back.

Earlier this year I get the code for the speed sensor (11 blinks). Clean up the connections follow all the procedures, blah blah blah but it randomly comes and goes. Finally do a more thorough job of cleaning it up, reset it, and viola, its all gone. No more speed sensor code.

Our for a short ride last weekend, FI light comes back on. I figure its the speed sensor again (I didn't replace the sensor, only cleaned it up). So I short the system, and it throws me a code of 10 blinks (more accurately, 1 long blink which is the equivalent of 10 short). Check my manual, and its talking about a baro sensor.

Really? Anyone ever have any difficulty with these things before? Doesn't appear to be any issues in performance. I'm in Jersey, so not like I'm riding at 10000 feet above sea level.

Think its just coincidence that I've had 3 separate FI codes over the last 12 months?

Oh, and if it makes any difference, I use Motul oil and PR2 tires.
