    Hey Guys

    I’m 100 percent new to VFR’s, Just bought two at Barber and I’m going to be servicing them and then selling them. Both bikes are nice. They were going across the auction block and not getting a lot of love... so naturally I snatched them up.

    Took a minute to get under the seat... figured that was a secret handshake sorta deal...

    Could someone point me in the direction of a Hibernation thread? The bikes have been stored for about 5yrs each. ( best I can tell, one came from Utah and the other from South Carolina )

    Tried to post a picture but couldn’t figure that out on my iPad.

    Thanks in advance
    Keith

    Sell none --> hibernate ONE (look for a hibernation thread)
    Sell one --> ride the other one
    Sell both --> BIG mistake

    I’m retired... as a hobby I buy and sell bikes... there isn’t a lot of money in it... but It’s a really fun and often interesting hobby.

    +1 to the above

    Hi Keith and Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

    If you want to add photos it is pretty easy - click on the "upload a file" link at the bottom and follow the prompts to locate and upload a photo or two from your computer.

    If these bikes have been unused for years then the most important thing to contribute at this stage is to suggest you do not try to start the bikes until you have carefully cleaned them of any old fuel and checked for rust in the petrol tank. Especially during extended storage, rust can develop inside the petrol tank and if that is then drawn into the carbs/fuel injection system it can create a world of expense and grief.

    Have fun
