Bar swap for 4th gen. Are 1984 VF1000F bars a good option.

Hi All,

I ran across a reference to and picture of a 2k VFR that the owner had installed 1984 VF1000F bars on and it looked great. I have spent hours searching previous posts for any other references and have not found any.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who knows anything at all about the feasability and steps involved in doing a similar swap to a 97 model. Any lead at all would be valuable. I really want to do a similar swap if possible since I have had no luck finding a set of heli bars for my bike and also because it looks like the VF1000F swap gives substantially more height than the Helis.
