Anybody know of a good set of bar ends. I've replaced my grips a few times and the original weights don't look so hot anymore. Pretty much everything I can find are the rubber expander type and not the OEM Honda with the notch on the weight. Is it pretty easy to remove the insert to use universal weights? I'm don't like the idea of removing anything I'm not sure I can put back the way it belongs.

    Any recomendations?
    Thanks

Why not get new OEM ones, I have just had to get a new one, and for a change the Honda part was cheaper than an aftermarket one.

Try getting TWO Throttlemeister left hand bar ends.

Stainless steel, heavier than stock so they damp vibration in the bars better then the OEM aluminum ones.

I've got a set of stainless bar ends from RatRace cycle,
but I think they are out of business now.

From the pictures on ThrottleMeister's website, the weights do not have the "notch" that all Honda OEM weights have. The reason for that notch, according to the guys at the local Honda shop, is to keep the weights from rotating and then working loose. Do you have any problem with that? These are exactly what I'm looking for. They are the right size and weight and they look good.

    Thanks

I covered my OEM's with the same Tapeworks carbon graphics I used to purty up the hideous heat shield.

My latest decoration are the coveted dragon decals from my pilgrimage to Mecca ( Deals Gap ) .totally stoked.
I'm thinking of getting some stator and VR facsimile stickers to mount as I am nearly an ace...Lord , just five minutes alone with that electrical "engineer".

I was lucky to have where I work the machine shop made them out of stainless just like the OEM.....1/2 longer.
The extra weight did cut down on the vibration....
PLUS they look cool...its the little things.
