Baffle or not to buffle, that is the question...

I have a 2003 European VTech with Fuel slip-on exhaust and K&N air filter installed. I'll be adding PCIII USB to that. The PC website says about Fuel exhausts with baffles. Do I really need them? I really like the sound of it without the buffles and I love the fact that I'am getting noticed by cyclists, pedestrians and the like before they do something stupid ending up in front of my bike. Loud pipes save lives they say. So again do I really need the buffles or will the PC take care of sorting the pressure difference on aftermarket cans? (not that I know a lot about it )
