I'm new to the group and VFRs. I just purchased a 2002 with very low miles and made the mistake of letting my wife see a VFR pic with a backrest. Although she's not going to ride much, she as asked that I find and install a back rest prior to any modifications. Any suggestions as to who has them and where to get one?

Welcome to the group Muffer! Congrats on the new purchase. As was stated, Corbin makes a nice backrest. I do not believe that Sargent does....yet.

    Corbin seat/backrest

There's a few options by manufacture's; a solo backrest or topcase (storage space + a backrest). I've got the Corbin seat/backrest option....works well as I can remove the backrest quickly when I don't have any passengers but it also takes less than a min to pop it back in. My wife enjoys it for longer rides or when slabbin it around and my youngest (13) enjoys it knowing that he won't fall off the back. The only downside to the Corbin is that I can't get my cowl back on without distorting it....not that big a deal for me as I keep the cowl on the factory seat and have it available for display when needed.
