Hi all, It has been too long... My last bike was a Connie. I sold it in '99. I have been bike deprived for the last 10 years. It was very painful. My current one, picked up this Thursday, is a '99, built the year I stopped riding. Her stats are: 24K miles Helis Corbin Beatle Bags Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen K&N R&R Replaced Spare Set of Diablo Tires It has never been down and shows only some minor wear. I, on the other hand, am showing all of my 45 years. As a family man with (3) in grade school, finding time to go ride is a challange. But yesterday, I was able to get in my first real ride of 10 years;100 miles of Sonoma, Napa and Lake counties north of San Francisco. The feel for riding is coming back fast and my helmet is full of stupid grins. Damn, its good to be back in the saddle! I look forward to learning all I can about the VFR on the forum. I tend to spin my own wrench, so its time to be a sponge and soak it all in. Thanks in advance, Flip
Looks great, Flip. Welcome aboard. NorCal is full of great guys to ride with if you are not afraid of miles. There are a ton of VFRWorlders spread all over Cali and we try to get around to see as many of them as we can. Hope to ride with you soon.
Welcome Aboard and Congrats! You did find a good one there. I resumed riding just last year after 16 years off the saddle. Due to work and family, I can only ride weekends, and lucky at that, if I could do it every week. Enjoy and have fun. Be safe.
Corbin's website advertises the 6th generation version, but not the 5th. You could give them a call, but the 6th gens are listed at $1,699. I am considering letting them go since they bolt on and make it harder to fit in the garage. Thanks, Flip
Welcome, Glad you can get back on the saddle Beware of Drewl........... Ride safe and hope to meet up some day.
