Ha, came across a thread that got me thinking here in wondering if any of you VFR owners have a past photo of when you where younger? When was it you started in this sport?

Me. Man I've been riding a long time, like back from the early 60s on mini bikes then on to dirt MX machines, but once I got my license, look out.

    old skool pix

    ohhhh....OK, I'll play!

I started the whole bike riding thing in 1980,altho as a school boy i wanted a bike i just couldn't afford one. I had to wait till i was workin & earnin to get one. I can remember having a poster of a Honda CBX on the wall and wondering how a mere mortal could ride a bike with that many cylinders?

so i had most of my early riding experience in the dirt, did a lot of trail riding and some motocross, owned a lot of early model XR's as my primary transport.
i must be about 18 in the pic with the yamaha(IT 250H enduro) and 20 in the pic with CR125(84 model). check out those vintage Fox MX pants and JT racing shirt....soooooo eighties!
I learned all my riding skills in the dirt, sliding, crashing,etc..its held me in good stead for the road.

I absolutely dig the coolness of having a smoke after a long day of enduroing the IT! Too damn cool!
