Went for a ride today with a couple of mates. Ended up swapping bikes for a quick ride with one of them....Ducati 1098S. What can I say but OMFG . Talk about power & torque! & what an absolutely beautiful looking bike. The VFR,however, is more suited to me. On the Duke I felt like a little jockey on a race horse. Getting back on the VFR after was like sitting down on the couch. Just thought I would share as it was an eye opener for me as I haven't ridden lots of road bikes.
I test rode a Duc 1198 a few months ago and I too was amazed by its power and handling. The downside was that I felt like I had been raped by a 2x4 after only being on it for 20 minutes. Fun bike but I would never own one. Another thing is that when I am riding I usually get a friendly wave from other riders except for pricks on Harleys and Ducs. Regards, Rollin
kinda funny rollin it the sporters around here that dont wave maybe the older guys notice what the 86 vfr is. but usaully dont get a wave from the younger gens. oh well not out here to let that make me mad. i just keep ridin. lol
i like to give the harley guys the finger if they dont wave since they wont be able to catch me.....just kidding, though the thought has crossed my mind a few times
