So the D-Store in Costa Mesa is going to be part of a "Block Party" event and so I thought I'd share with the class the details. Here is the post they made on OCMoto Our Costa Mesa neighborhood (Superior Ave. south of 17th St.) is having a block party/artwalk on Oct. 25th. The D-Store will be participating, along with Waffleholic, some art galleries, etc., with food, drinks and prizes. There will be a stage with bands and DJs, food trucks and door prizes. We'll also be unveiling the Hellcat LSR, the newest v-twin from American maker Confederate Motorcycles. Come down and check it out!
Shit..I thought I only called ya D......think I just might make it...in a car...wont be able to ride for the next 4 months Possible neck surgery. ..
Hope all is well duc. May be we can get together for a beer when all attending are done with the event and I'm done working?
That Hellcat is fierce. Wait, did I just channel Beyoncé? I have a wedding to attend that afternoon/evening. What time does the party get started and, more importantly, when is everyone showing up? If things get started early enough, I might be able to ride up, spend a few hours, then make it back in time for the nuptials.
Sorry brother, looks like you'll be at the wedding about the same this event will be going on. The event is from 6PM-9PM. Doesn't mean we can't meet up for a ride before hand! Here's a link to it on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/events/291455681065663/
What's going on with your neck ducc? Hope you don't need the surgery - sounds scary. But if you do, hope it all goes well and you heal up quick.
Weeeeeeelllll it probably started 35 years ago when I landed on my head dirt ridden...broke collarbone...woke up a month ago with a stabing pain in my left arm and numbing down to my fingers...long story short...two herniated disc. Saw a surgeon Tuesday and he said out of 10 I'm an 8. Second opinion this Tuesday at UCLA......if surgery is necessary. ..three months recuperating. ...on disability. ..sucks cant ride or work ( Halloween Horror Nights) but it's hotter then he'll here 103.... Keepin my fingers crossed I dont go under the knife
We could have told you that you're a great looking guy. No need to get a first or second opinion on that! In all seriousness, I hope you get good news. Let us know what you find out. I hurt my right shoulder when I was in college (many, many years ago) and just this past year it's been acting up. Long rides on the VFR get really painful with the pain shooting down into my bicep. Funny how these old injuries flare up after so much time. Okay, not funny but you get what I mean.
Let me check what the time the wedding actually starts and get back to you. I'm going to need time to make it home, clean up, and get to the ceremony on time. To get to your place by say, 9am, I'd have to leave around 7 or 7:30am. Assuming it all goes as planned, we get the brakes done by noon. We could probably get a ride in for about an hour before I'd want to start heading home. Maybe we can squeeze in a quick lunch somewhere too. How does that sound?
No jelly doughnut between the vertebra and now pinching nerves.....replace and fusion. .don't that sound like a hoot? OK D....sorry fer high jacking your thread
Sounds feasible, maybe ride through Ortega on your way back. There are tons of places to grab lunch near me, if Long joins us, he can grab us some of those awesome Vietnamese sandwiches he gets near his house! Order the parts and let's do this.
No worries brother, just keeps this post near the top of the list! Just hope there's a cure for your condition that isn't as intrusive as surgery, but sometimes there's no other way. Good luck to you!
