I have helped a bunch of you unlock and jailbreak your devices. Nice, eh? Free aps, no more rules enforced by AT&T...Just freedom on the device that you PAID for. Well the new update iPhone OS 3.1 will not only undo all the work you or I did to your iPhone but it will most likely lock your device to AT&T forever. It means this: You will now have to pay AT&T an extra 30$ a month to use your phone. You will no longer be able to use other carriers, AT&T ONLY with the premium plan from now on. The applications that you enjoy now, that the community created and gave us for free, will no longer be usable on your phone. Only official AT&T Applications will run on your phone. IF YOU ARE UNLOCKED OR JAILBROKEN DO NOT UPRADE TO IPHONE 3.1 !!!!! Some of you are wondering what the hell I am talking about, and if so, ignore this message. Some of you however, know exactly what I am talking about and this message is for you. PM me for details, I will respond ASAP! For the moderators: This thread wont bring any heat or get us in trouble for having it here. Unlocking phones is not illegal, or even a grey area. Its not like bootlegging cd's or dvd's. Phones are locked by companies as a way to make sure you pay them each month instead of taking your phone to a differant carrier. By law, companies MUST help you unlock a pone they sell you once you are with them for 90 days. This is a sneaky way for them to get out of that, because the device will no longer be able to unlock. I am posting this because some of the members of this community have unlocked their iPhones with my help and I dont want to see them get tricked by this new software update. Thanks.
