Hey everyone. I'm very close to repainting my '86 700 flat black like the Asphalt found on the VFR, the Ducati darks, and Harley nightrod. The one big question I've always had about the flattened clear paint is how do you take care of it and clean it up? You can't really buff it and I think waxing it might make it start to shine. So what do you do to it once it gets dirty and full of bugs?

I wash it and I try to find a place to park it where it won't get coated with pollen again while it dries. I will find that spot...I know I will.

I have a part I'd like to repaint. Colorite says no clearcoat is needed. Do I just rattlerattlerattle on the sanded plastic and go? Maybe I'm unfashionable, but I'd like it to look like less of a ratbike, not more.

    Thoughts?
