The VFR became mine a little over one month ago, but first it took me 6 months to decide what to buy. My previous bike was a 1987 FZ700 so I knew I wanted a sport bike, but something more refined. I also wanted something nimble in the corners, fast off the line and comfortable. Comfort was paramount since the older you get the less flexible your bits and pieces become. After much research including the fine information in VFRWorld's forum, it finally came down to the VFR800ABS. I now have 1300 miles on the VFR and no regrets. As you can see from the picture, I am a little over 30 years old- well maybe a lot. In any case, I wanted something that got my adrenaline going, but comfortable for long hauls. Thank you for some great reading and I look forward to being a member of VFRWorld. SWS

Oh god I LOVE the RWB interceptor enjoy the bike.

Also glad to see you wearing the gear, I see a lot of older fellas who just think it is pointless.

Is that the stock front tire? Mine has a different pattern. By the way, COOL bike. It looks a lot like mine.

SWS, Welcome to the group and congrats on the purchase of a fine ride. I think you find the VFR to be a very capable machine, no matter what you use it for.

    Thanks for the welcome.

eddievalleytrailer- The front and rear tires are stock and both are Bridgestone BT020s. The only problem I have had is in a tight turn, crossing over the painted white lines (cross-walks and side markers). The bike "skips" out briefly. Washington state needs to put more sand in their white paint.

    Safe riding,
    -SWS

Funny, mine came with Metzeler MEZ4A. You'd think they'd all be the same. I guess your being in Washington, might be for more rain use? Most of my close calls came on those HUGE turn arrows painted on the road. They are like grease when wet. Unless you have Velcro tires the road paint is too slick. Yours look to have a more aggressive pattern. I haven't had my new bike in the rain yet....It'll catch me soon, I'm sure. I hope they will do ok in the rain.

SWS: You appear to be a man wealth and taste. Though I have no sympathy for the devil, I do have a RWB 07 Interceptor like yours .

Thanks. I am over on the dry side- Tricities, Richland/Kennewick/Pasco. It has been almost too hot to ride over here, except in the early morning or night. SWS
