Hello everyone, been reading threads for a while figured it was time to post an intro. Purchased 1st VFR back in 1989, a 1000R. VF1000RQuab1.jpg Rode the wheels off that bike till about 2001 when life/ career changes forced sale. VF1000RForSale01.jpg I still read the magazines & would stop by local shops from time to time. In 07 i decided it was time to start riding again. Was looking for a Blackbird but at the time there wasn't much available. Heard Honda was releasing 25th Ann. Interceptor in RWB. That went to the top of list. Sadly a lot of local shops didn't move to many VFRs. Most shops didn't choose to carry RWB VFRs. The one I did find was an abs model w/ hard bags & the dealership wouldn't move on the price. $13k w/ sales tax, that was hard to justify. So i picked a 07 Hayabusa (aka "The Bullet Train"). BusaRghtSide.jpg After some upgrades gel seat, Heli-bars, double-bubble & Throttle Meister it didn't have the long rang comfort I was looking for. About 400 miles was my limit. During the winter of 2011 while casually cruising through craigslist I found a left over 07 RWB VFR at a local car dealership of all places. VFR80001.jpg The odometer read 38 miles & it came w/ luggage for $7300. Pounced on that deal. Since then I've added Leo Vince pipes, Sargent seat, Gen Mar risers, Puig double bubble, heavy bar ends & 8 spoke rear wheel. Next round of upgrades will focus on suspension. Nice looking bikes!
Must have been hard to sell such a nice 1000R! Glad to read that you are able to ride once again.

Thanks. It was a tough a call but, you gotta move forward. I do miss it, that bike never let me down or left me stranded.
