Just need to vent. I finally got my 93 back together and took it out for a road test. Turns out, I must have kinked a vent tube off the carb. got to the end of the drive way and the dip that's there with the un-anticipated stall adds up to the dreaded slow motion driveway drop. Haven't done that in over 15 years. Took a perfectly preserved 93 VFR to a completely scuffed newbie mistake VFR. deep scratches on the front, left mid and lower as well as tail and broke off the clutch lever. Large crack in the left mid and tail fairing. I'm such a knuckle head!

Anyway guess who feels like a dip sh*t.

The guy on his sport bike, riding with his Harley riding buddies!
They all stop at a red-lite, & when it turns green, Every one starts turning left & the guy with the sport bike goes down. What makes it worse for him is a couple of his friends had to help right the bike! (This happened yesteday afternoon in front of the shop I work at.)

    Sorry about your bike!
BTW: I REALLY do not want to low-side my Ole Girl, But unfortuniatly it is an enevitability since I am going to be riding her!

Its a fact of life, motorcycles have two wheels... they fall over. I've dropped mine twice, a little touch up paint and most can't tell. Whats really cool is you can't see the scuffs when your riding it with a big shit eating grin on your face.

My very first ride last year, I dropped my 4G. At work. On completely level concrete. At 0 mph.

I couldn't believe it. Turns out that my lack of checking my tires for that eagerly anticipated first ride left me with a soft front tire, and a propensity for the tire to roll over itself in a tight, slow turn.

I picked it up, brushed off the stupidity, and continued on.

Bikes fall over, that is a certainty. Just be thankful it wasn't 50 miles from your house and at 50 mph.

Sorry to hear about the tip over REEKMAN . It's just like -the treaded question, have you crashed yet-its bound to happen sooner then later (hopefully later) . One month after getting my mint condition 2002 , went to a buddies condo to stripe my wheels, all done perfect job backing out of his parking spot, my left foot is extended in front of my foot peg and back into a freekin pole, just glanced off my right turn signal and DOWN WE GO. Just a few scratches on the left front and side fairing--- of course had a shop repaint, couldn't look at it with out getting pissed. Glad thats out of the way, plus lowered my bike for my midget legs. SHIT HAPPENS to the best of us

Yeah, thanks guys. I'm already in the process of touching up all of the scuffs and glassing the cracked fairings. It just took me back to 1995. Picked up my first every brand new bike, GSXR750, I saved years for. Low sided it 500 feet down the road from the dealer.

I'm sure I'll be rolling down the road by next week, with that shit eating grin DAVIS5G was talking about.

Off topic: Just sold my CBR1000RR this morning. Even though I didn't ride it much, it's always so sad to watch your bike roll away in some else's truck.

Sorry to hea about this tragedy. I think I dropped mine 7 times now. And what really hurts, a couple months ago, soon as I put the plastics back on from a brand new expensive pait job, I dropped it while trying to load it onto my truck to take it in fro the graphics. Something like $2200.00 damage. Nice to have insurance.

Then a couple weeks ago, Subalong pushed me over and I dropped it again in Oceanside...the bugga. Yep, most if not all of use drop them. For such a great bike, you would think they would self level. Maybe I should get myself some training wheels?

I do believe my bike has self leveling. Just needs to be re-calibrated by 90 degrees. And I guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Subalong so he doesn't push ME over.
