I put together a spreadsheet based off the 5th gen service manual that tracks maintenance intervals to simplify maintenance and record keeping. You can download it here: http://herpnderp.info/xceldocs/Honda VFR800 5th Gen Maintenance.xls It should be easy to modify it to work with any other generations of VFR by changing the interval fields. Here's an example of how it works (my own bike's sheet): (Note: you only edit the fields marked in blue. It calculates the rest for you. 'Replacement' intervals need to have a date of last service for the sheet to work. It can be the date you bought the bike if you haven't done any yet) Enjoy! feedback welcome, but I mostly just made this for myself, so don't expect future revisions.
I write any thing I perform in the back of my factory manual. Generally I do work between seasons and count seasons for certain things and quite a bit of above is checked with near every ride.
Spark plugs every 8000 miles seem a bit exceessive....Great chart :thumb: Thanks for sharing I am like mellodude I record all my maintenace on the owner manual.
I have a .99 cent composition notebook and write down everything I do. I think maint logs are helpful no matter how nice wether it be your nice sheet, or a tabbed binder or even my notbook where I just jot some quick notes. I know It helps me keep on track. Nice sheet tho
