I just replaced my coolant with Engine Ice, and am trying to find out what others have experienced in temperature drops. I know there are other alternatives out there, and I'd be curious to hear what results you've gotten with those also. The coolant that was in there was green, so I'm figuring it was Prestone or the like. I didn't use a hydrometer, but the mix looked good (clean). The bike is a 2002 and has around 16K miles on it. It's never overheated, and I know from reading on the forum that they run hotter than average anyway.

During the heat of the day, I was running as hot as 220-222 degrees in mixed highway/city driving on my commute, and since changing to the Engine Ice, I seem to be getting about a 5-8 degree drop on the same stretch of road, at the same time of the day. Our late afternoon temps here (Chandler, AZ) are reaching around 104-106 lately. I figured I'd be happy with results in the -5-10 degree range, considering the stuff isn't magic and I'm a realist by nature.

Anyone got any hard data to share?

    Thanks,
    Pete
