I've been checking out the vinyl wraps, especially the carbon fiber looking stuff to wrap all my bodywork in. From what i found it comes off without damaging paint, and its not too expensive.

Its not going to add much weight... cosmetic only, although I'm sure it may add a few hidden horsepower somewhere.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff. They claim it is removable, but i don't want it pealing off as I'm riding down the highway.

Basically the graphics on my bike are vinyl wrap. They have been on for over a year now. The pointed corners had to be trimmed round because they tended to peel back but they were trimmed back to about a 1/8 inch radius corner and all is good. This is the same stuff that the commercial marking on cars and truck are. You will need a heat gun to apply it to any compound curved surface though. I have peeled it off cars without removing any paint. Peeling it off painted plastic might be a different story though. I would suggest use heat when you are removing it to loosen the glue first.

And yes, my graphics gave me at least 20 more hp.

someone did a thread talking about it. It was a 7th gen bike so it may be in that area. He covered his entire bike with it. Actually, I have seen several threads about doing it on here.

I wrap vehicles for a living. Find a 3M certified installer and use 3M DI-NOC film. it comes in White carbon and black carbon. It's a little more espensive BUT it installs better than any of the other manufactures (Avery, Oracal, Mactac).
Here is a link to find a installer -http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Graphics/3Mgraphics/ToolsAndSupport/Installers/

A GOOD sign shop that installs wraps can do it too but do your research o them first. If they use 3M products its a pretty good indicator they know what there doing.

The great part is it you get bored of it you can remove it in leas then 30 minutes with a little heat from a heat gun.

Christmas wrap is real cheap at Walmart right after Santa rides off on his Harley.
