Has anyone done this? Or know anyone that has done it? I remember seeing a White 6th gen that had everything blacked out (frame, exhaust, wheels, etc).
I am looking into doing this cheaply with mine.

Curious to see how other people have done it.

    Thanks

I found a company near by that does powder coating for a decent price.
Will have to get the mufflers done to see how they look - then save up to do the frame and everything else later

    Powder coat the frame?!
your gonna have to pull the motor, etc...
    That's gonna be pricey!
just polish the frame, much cheaper and looks awesome.
ill try and get some pics up soon...

I did mine. Powder coated all the heat shields, footpeg brackets, gas cap, upper triple clamp. Painted the frame, wheels, fork tubes, radiators, swingarm, engine covers. She's really dirty now, but here's a picture.

    CBR,

Black header pait on those pipes would have finished that off nice.

Very Nice! this is exactly what I am going for!

Did you have to strip everything down to do the frame? I really dont feel like completely disassembling a bike with less than 2K miles on it.

I had the bike apart to replace the engine, so it wasn't too bad to go a little further to paint it. I still masked a lot of stuff because I didn't want to completely strip the frame or take the forks apart. I would like to do black Jet Hot on the pipes, but I don't feel like taking it apart again.

I looked at my bike, and the inside of the exhaust system is nice flat black as far as the flashlight could shine. :pop2:
