I want to experiment with a clear clutch cover on my 2000, but want to work on a spare cover. Does anyone have a rashed/cracked one for sale?

Hmm, I think toecutter tossed that 5th gen engine we used to pee on all the time. I have a spare engine and the cover is rashed up but I'm not sure if I want to dissassemble it. I'll give it some thought.

Dammit! Even a pee'd on one would have been alright.

What I found is from a KTM, it's flat and looks like it's priced at $100. I think I can make it work with a simple adapter plate and aluminum braze it. If that works, then I can use my powdercoating rig to finish it. I think it could come out looking pretty slick. Pictures and parts supplier links will follow, of course.

Ya know reg, cutting the existing cover would be among the the last steps in the process and I wouldn't hack/slash unless I was confident I could make it turn out as desired. If you pull the one on your spare engine, I'll be happy to provide you with an adapter plate and my old rashed cover to roll your own. If it doesn't look like it will work, I would return your unmolested cover.
